In 2019 we signed an agreement with Hudson Valley Community College allowing us to provide Scholarship funds for 2nd year students. This was possible because we did very well in our 2018 FIESTA. In 2019, FIESTA2 was successful in generating funds that are earmarked for 2020 scholarships, among other educational programs.
In the photo above representatives of the Hispanic Chamber and HVCC are signing the scholarship agreement. Left to right, are Regina LaGatta, HVCC Foundation; Dr. Roger Ramsammy, college president; Diane Nickerson, Chamber Board Secretary and Director Castle Island Bilingual Montessori; Laudelina Martinez, Chamber president and owner Martinez Gallery; and Karen Ferrer-Muniz, Founding Board member.
A crowd of men and women assembled at the Hall on Fifth Avenue in Troy on March 28, 2023 to celebrate Latinas in the Capital Region. The event was moderated by Laudelina Martinez, President of the Chamber.
